HamOperator Now Using HTTPS
HamOperator.com has converted from HTTP to HTTPS. Prior to the conversion, all communications over the Internet were in plain text - they could be monitored or changed by anyone between you and the HamOperator servers.
With HTTPS, all traffic between you and HamOperator is now encrypted. Why does this matter?
It is now much more difficult for a 3rd party (such as on a shared WiFi connection) to intercept your traffic and place malware on the HamOperator pages. It also means you can trust that the information you are getting did come from HamOperator.com.
The HTTPS status also improves our search standings with engines like Google. It also sets the stage for future products where we may want to secure your information that is sent to HamOperator. (Currently HamOperator.com has no user inputs thus substantially reducing attack vectors.)
Hopefully the only change you will notice is a padlock on your browser indicating that your communications are secure.
