HF in the Park - 2014

http://www.hamoperator.com/Park

The second Saturday in the month April to October

Starting at noon

Long Lake Park (Directions Below)

Talk in 146.670 114.8PL or 444.525 114.8PL (Fusion digital or analog)

New News!

Info on the last HF in the Park updated. See a Yaesu Fusion repeater in operation (442.000+ 103.5PL) inside and out (covers removed!). See if you can work it on the way in. Also K9EQ will be updating FT1DRs and FTM-400s with the latest firmware.

So exactly how good is your mobile antenna? Chuck, K0ORK, will be making RF field measurements with his RF analyzer. Perhaps we'll find out which is the best mobile antenna and mounting system.

The weather should be great. Bring your "stuff" to show off and let's have some FUN!

Also, photos from September have been published.

Come on over and set up your radio gear, HF, QRP, VHF, UHF, satellite, or whatever and enjoy the company of like-minded friends. Show off your equipment, see what others have, compare notes, learn and have fun! This is not a contest just a place for hams and those interested in Amateur Radio to get together and share the hobby.

From 694, travel North on Long Lake Road (see map). Turn East onto Beach Road (main entrance).

From 35W, exit on 96. Travel West on 96 to the T. Turn left on Old Hwy 8. After about ½ mile, turn right into the park. Travel past the railroad tracks then turn right. We’ll be in or around the parking lot.

Travel past the shelter to the main pavilion parking area where we will be set up. There are bathrooms but no power hook ups. There are many trees and open areas or for antenna placement, along with open areas available to set up a table. Check http://www.hamoperator.com/park for the latest information.
